HK New Capital Investment Immigration

On March 1, 2024, Hong Kong's new "Capital Investor Entrant Scheme" officially began accepting applications. Eligible investors with a total investment of HK$30 million or more in Hong Kong stocks, funds, bonds, real estate, and the new Capital Investor Entrant Scheme portfolio can apply to come to Hong Kong through the scheme. On January 7, 2025, the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau and InvestHK announced enhancements to the scheme, with the enhanced measures taking effect on March 1, 2025.

HK High Tech Professional Immigration

The Hong Kong Technology Talent Scheme aims to provide eligible companies with a fast-track application process for importing non-local technology talent to Hong Kong for research and development work. Eligible companies must first apply for a quota. Companies granted a quota by the Innovation and Technology Commission can apply for work visas/entry permits for eligible professionals within the 12-month quota validity period. Hong Kong has a simple tax system with low rates. There is no business tax, sales tax, value-added tax, gift tax, or capital gains tax. Only income earned in Hong Kong is taxed, and the standard salary tax rate is only 15%.

HK Professional (Commercial) Immigration

The Hong Kong Excellence in Talent Scheme, relying on the Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals and the General Employment Scheme, is a talent scheme suitable for senior executives or shareholders with strong academic backgrounds (or alternatively, certain business experience or achievements).

Hong Kong boasts a superior business environment, backed by the Mainland and connected to the international community, serving as an international financial center and Asia's business hub. Hong Kong operates under a territorial tax system with a simple and low tax rate. There is no business tax, sales tax, value-added tax, or capital gains tax. Hong Kong offers significant tax incentives for businesses: profits under HK$2 million are taxed at only 8.25%, other profits at 16.5%, and no tax is levied on non-profits. The standard salary tax rate is only 15%. This favorable business environment provides an ideal platform for Mainland enterprises to expand into overseas markets and for foreign enterprises to enter the Chinese market.

HK High End People Immigration

The Hong Kong High-Tech Passport Scheme officially opened for applications on December 28, 2022. The scheme aims to attract highly skilled professionals with extensive work experience or advanced degrees from around the world to develop their careers in Hong Kong. These professionals include high-income earners and graduates from top universities worldwide. Applicants for the Hong Kong High-Tech Passport Scheme do not need to have already secured employment in Hong Kong at the time of application, and there is no points-based assessment process. Applicants only need to meet the application requirements of one of the A, B, or C categories to submit their application.
